Morpho liquidates a loan when its loan-to-value reaches the market's LLTV. Apps built on Morpho usually stop you from borrowing that much: Coinbase, for example, caps its loans well below the 86% LLTV of its Bitcoin market. This is a single-collateral estimate that assumes the loan asset's price stays put. LLTV and liquidations explained.

How it works

Your loan-to-value (LTV) is your debt divided by the value of your collateral. Each Morpho market has a fixed liquidation LTV, the LLTV, set when the market was created. The health factor is the LLTV times your collateral value, divided by your debt, so it falls below 1.00 exactly when your LTV passes the LLTV. At that point anyone can repay part of your debt and take collateral worth a little more, the liquidation penalty. Check a live loan with the wallet checker.
