When the loan reaches 86% of the collateral's value, the liquidation point of the Morpho market behind it. Divide what you owe by your cbBTC amount times 0.86. For example, borrowing half of 1 cbBTC's value today would be liquidated if bitcoin fell to about $48.8K.

How much can I borrow against Bitcoin on Coinbase?

The Block reported in November 2025 that Coinbase lets you borrow up to 75% of your collateral's value, below the market's 86% liquidation point. A loan taken at that maximum is liquidated after a price drop of about 13%.

What interest rate do Coinbase Bitcoin loans charge?

The rate is variable and set by the Morpho market behind the loans: 4.80% a year right now, and 4.85% on average over the last 30 days. Interest is added continuously and paid in USDC.

What happens when a Coinbase loan is liquidated?

Anyone can repay part of the debt and take cbBTC worth about 4.38% more than they repaid. That penalty comes out of your collateral, so staying well below the liquidation point matters.
